Rownaks Famous Singara / Samosa Recipe By Rownak Jahan, August 8, 2011This singara recipe is easy to cook and delicious to eat.Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook time: 1 hour Yield: 12 Singara Ingredients: – 1 cup of plain flour – ½ teaspoon salt – 2 tablespoons oil – ¼ teaspoon nigella/kali jeera (optional) – Water Stuffing: – 4 large boiled potatoes (peeled and diced) – 1/2 teaspoon cumin – 1 medium onion sliced – ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder – 3 green chillies chopped – Fresh coriander leaves chopped – Salt to taste – 2 tablespoons oil – Oil for deep frying Also needs black salt and sliced for serve.   Instructions: 1. To make the dough, mix salt and water together and dissolve the salt. Then mix flour, oil and the salty water together and make smooth but a little bit hard dough. Aloo Paratha / Alu parata By Rownak Jahan, July 8, 2011 Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook time: 14 minutes Yield: 7 parathas   Ingredients: . 2 cups flour . Pinch of salt . 1 cup water (may be need more or less) Potato Stuffing: . 4 medium boiled potatoes . 1 small finely sliced onion . 1 teaspoon cumin powder . 2 finely sliced chilli . 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander . Salt to taste . Butter or oil for fry Dough: 1.       Mix flour, salt and water to make soft dough (water may be need more or less for soft dough). When I came Australia about 5 years ago, except the family i missed the food specially snacks, street food. Street food is available in Bangladesh usually nobody makes them at home. i wanted to make home away from home ALOO PURI (afternoon snacks). I was so excited to make it. Hope you will feel same like me to make Aloo Puri. Aloo Puri is basically potato stuffed flat deep fried bread.   Ingredient for the dough: . 1 cup plain flour . 1/4 teaspoon salt . 2 tablespoons oil .   Water Ingredients for the filling: . 2 medium size boiled potatoes . 1 tablespoon coriander leaves . 1 tablespoon chili flakes or 1/2 Bombay chili finely chopped . 1 small onion finely chopped .
