Pata Pitha/ Sweet Leaf By Rownak Jahan, February 28, 2012Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook time: 25 minutes Yield: 10-12 Pan pitha is an easy recipe but with delicate look. You can soak it in 1 sting or 2 siting syrup. Both of them have unique taste. Ingredients: • 1 and ½ cups plain flour • 1 egg • 2 tablespoon oil • ¼ teaspoon salt • 1 and ½ cups sugar • Oil for deep fry                 How to make: 1. Dissolve the salt in water and mix flour, egg and oil with it. 2. Knead well and make smooth dough. Cover it and keep aside for 10-15 minutes. 3. Pakon Pitha By Rownak Jahan, February 20 2012 Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook time: 40 minutes Yield: 30 Usually Pakon pitha is made fresh coconut milk squeezed from fresh coconut paste. But If you can use canned coconut milk or if its hard to get, you just use water to boil the flour. Hope it will make easier for you guys. Ingredients: ½ kg plain flour ½ kg sugar 1 egg 250 gram fresh coconut milk 2-3 tablespoon ghee 2 cardamom pods ¼ teaspoon salt Oil for deep fry How to make: Boil plain flour in coconut milk and salt. Remove from heat and let it cool down. Make sugar syrup to use cardamom and 1.25 litre water and let it keep aside. Because we  need lukewarm water. Patisapta /Kheer stuffed crepe is one of the most popular sweet snacks (Pitha) in Bangladesh. Patisapta is basically crepe stuffed with thicken milk. Patisapta even can make with coconut stuffing but Kheer/rabri one is the best. You can use jaggery(gur) but I think that sugar gives better texture for this. If you use jaggery(gur), you dont use cardamom powder.   Ingredients: For Filling (Kheer/Rabri): • 1 litre milk • 1 tablespoon rice flour • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder • ½ cup sugar or to taste For Batter: • 1 cup rice flour • 1 egg • ¼ cup plain flour • 1 cup milk • ½ teaspoon salt • ½ cup sugar or to taste   How to make: 1. Heat the pan (non-stick preferable) with milk, cardamom and rice flour. 2. Cook it till it becomes thick paste constancy. Need to stir constantly. 3. Add the sugar and stir it. 4.
