Green mango Juice / Kacha Amer Shorbot / কাঁচা আমের শরবত

Green mango juice is a typical Summer delight juice in the Bengal, however each person makes it differently. Some likes to roast mango and some likes to boil it; some likes add green chillies and some likes to add black pepper. Some even likes to use half ripe mango. In this preparation sugar depends on sourness of your mango and your taste bud, so use it as less or as much you needed. Personally I like to roast green mangoes to get perfect smoky flavour but if you want to make life easy and handy, you can peel mango, cut the flesh and boil it with water till it becomes soft. Enjoy.

  • 2 green mangoes
  • Sugar to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black salt
  • ½ tablespoon mint leaves
  • 2 green chilies
  • Water as needed (2-3 cups )

How to make:

  1. Roast green mangoes on slow fire direct flames – similar to what we do for begun bharta . Or you can use oven to roast these mangoes. Continue till all sides of the mango skin are blackened (charred) & the pulp is softened.
  2. Allow to cool; de-skin & de seed the mangoes. Keep the pulp aside.
  3. Blend all ingredients together in a blender.
  4. Water, sugar, black salt, mouri (aniseed), and green or red chilies. Put the mixture in a blender and blend well.
  5. Serve Green mango Juice / Kacha Amer Shorbot chilled with crushed ice.

উপকরণ :

  • কাঁচা আম – বড় ২ টি
  • চিনি স্বাদ অনুযায়ী
  • ১ চা চামচ বীট লবন
  • ১/২ টেবিল চামচ পুদিনা পাতা
  • ২ টি কাঁচা মরিচ
  • পানি পরিমাণমতো (২-৩ কাপ)

পদ্ধতি :

  1. আম পুড়িয়ে নিন(বেগুন যেমন করে পুড়িয়ে হয় একই ভাবে)। যাতে কাঁচা আমের ভিতরটা নরম হয়ে যায়।
  2. পোড়া আম ঠাণ্ডা হলে আমের খোসা ছড়িয়ে নিন।
  3. ভালো করে আঁটি থেকে সবটুকু আম ছাড়িয়ে নিন।তার পর সব কিছু ব্লেন্ডারে ভাল করে ব্লেন্ড করে নিন। বরফকুচি দিয়ে পরিবেশন করুন কাঁচা আমের শরবত ।

    • Yes you can make it boiling mango. So peel the mango, slice it and boil it with water. rest of the process will same. Thanks
